A few centimetres are high enough if you want to be comfortable as well as trendy.

[On cover: Bottega Veneta shoe]

After several seasons of hobbling about on dizzyingly high heels, both thick and thin, but always high, women are finally back down to earth – or just a few centimetres above it.
This Spring’s shoes, from pumps to slingbacks and from sandals to sabots, have heels only 2, 3 or 4 centimetres high, to wear on any occasion, without overdoing the vintage look by going back to the kitten heels of the ’fifties.

Shoes that are both comfortable and beautiful, with slightly hourglass-shaped or straight heels, round or tapered toes, simple or decorated uppers, ankle straps or straps over the inset as in Mary Janes.
Low heels put in an appearance in the Spring/Summer 2017 fashion shows, but they are the true must-have this season, the leitmotif of the Prada and Bottega Veneta fashion shows, now available in all the stores.
