A 1975 running shoe returns to the limelight this spring-summer season

Diadora’s marketing campaign aims to communicate not just a passion for sport, but for life itself, spent in constant pursuit of new goals and objectives: and it is for this reason that the brand coined the hashtag #vogliAMOcorrere, featuring the Equipe model. Created in the Diadora laboratory in Caerano di San Marco in 1975, Equipe was the Italian brand’s first running shoe. Its elegant tapered line, rubber ‘tank tread’ sole that extends up over the heel cap, and wingtip toecap are all details of a silhouette that typifies the period in which it was created, and became a symbol of the lifestyle collections of the early 2000s. For spring 2021, this model is available in three different versions: Mad Italia, Urban and Corsa. “With this brand campaign – explains Enrico Moretti Polegato, president of Diadora – we wanted to give a positive message, one of hope and conviction that we will soon return to normal everyday life, racing towards our future, to those we love, to everything we miss so much”.
