The collection is inspired by the world of cinema

“Love for women in traffic” is the slogan of the designer Marco Antonio Marra that encompasses the thought and sentiment behind his collections: femininity and movement, creative ferment, and modernity.

Thus, was born ‘Traffic’ in 2019, an Apulian brand produced in Salento, a synthesis of the designer’s all-encompassing passion for cinema.

“I started from a mood board with some timeless icons of cinema such as Catherine Deneuve, Sarah Jessica Parker and Ingrid Bergman who inspired my first collection, the result of a love for shoes that had remained dormant until the age of 31. I observe, as a director does, what surrounds me and design for the women who are part of my life, feminine but at the same time with a male armour, like my shoes that mix the two personalities.”

The following models are born, therefore, for s/s 2021: Marina, a high heel with a feminine silhouette, but a masculine-inspired gaiter tied to the heel, Adele, a slingback with graphic tricks like the double strap, or Gabriela, a shoe inspired by the tango, but which in black or glitter becomes more aggressive and makes allusions to bondage, and Livia, a satin and leather slingback with an elongated tip. Classic models in sober colours, which represent various eras, but with a twist of contemporaneity and eclecticism to please the women of today.
