Sergio Rossi pays tribute to its founder with 10 historical models
The story told through the ‘Grazie Sergio’ (‘Thank you Sergio’) project is one of love for shoes. The same love that every woman experiences with her own shoes, the accessory that has always inspired an unconditional passion. Because a shoe can be forever, can last the test of time, if it is the result of a creative and visionary man, as was the entrepreneur Sergio Rossi – who passed away in April this year – who always created models that anticipated the future.
It is, in fact, from the re-edition of 10 shoes from 1969 to 2003 that the current CEO Riccardo Sciutto drew his inspiration to create this limited series, which valorises the company’s archive.
“Grazie Sergio – explains Sciutto – is a project that comes from the heart and from emotions inspired by the creator of the dream we live every day. I have always had a great respect for Mr. Sergio Rossi, and I immediately felt the responsibility of leading the brand in respect of his values, choosing to personally rebuild the archive since my arrival at the company.”
So, here is the nappa pump with its geometric heel from 1969, or the cage sandal in suede with silver accessories from 1998, or the platinum mesh boot with shiny accessories from 2000, all refined and timeless models that have been brought back to life by the skilled hands of the workers of the San Mauro Pascoli factory.
