Not only sports shoes with its own Kronos brand and licensed brands (G-Star Raw, Ellesse, Avirex, Conte of Florence) produced abroad: with the acquisition of Favaro Manifattura Calzaturiera di Fossò, Nice Footwear enters the segment of top of the range ‘Made in Italy’. The Riviera del Brenta company produces women’s shoes for prestigious fashion brands and, with this acquisition, which took place in 2021, Nice Footwear continues along its development path that focuses on collaborations with premium brands. In 2022, another company, this time a bag-making company, entered the portfolio of the Group which acquired 80% of the capital of Paduan Emmegi. But milestones are meant to be surpassed and in early April another step was made, with the inauguration of their showroom in Paris, after those in Vicenza, Milan, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Bruno Conterno, CEO and founder of the company, explains: “The Group is moving with a view to expanding international markets, increasing acquisitions, in order to create a cosmopolitan centre of excellence in the design and production of footwear and accessories”. Indeed, at Nice Footwear there are professionals and creatives, real “Shoe Trends Architects” who study, interpret, and create fashion with 5 business units in Italy and abroad. The company’s flagship is the R&D area, created for the development of new 3D technologies and the use of virtual reality. In 2020, the Company became part of the Veneto Region Face-Design cluster, an Innovative Network that connects universities and design and fashion companies with the aim of transferring skills to young talents, networking, and promoting internationalization.
