You can call them sneakers, but the inspiration is couture: these models are the outcome of the collaboration between Viktor&Rolf, a brand recognised for its creative experimentation and conceptual glamour, and Superga, which has already partners with haute couture brands in the past. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the brand founded in 1993 by the visionary duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the iconic Superga models, the 2790 platform and the high top 2708 sneaker, meet two fashion artists’ creativity. The first model features a satin upper with padded edging, embroidered eyelets and satin laces. A large satin bow adorns the front of the trainer. All details are tone-on-tone and on the back of the vulcanised rubber sole is a rubber patch with the Viktor&Rolf logo. The 2708 high-top with a 4 cm high platform has an upper adorned with a cascade of hand-sewn flowers in satin and organza with Swarovski crystals.
