Sebastian – a footwear brand that came into being in Milan in the 1970s – has begun the transition towards sustainability starting with the components it uses: water-based glues, recycled materials, FSC certified packaging, i.e., made with sustainable materials. A necessary development on the part of the brand, especially after the pandemic which at the peak of the crisis induced the company to convert to producing surgical masks. Its commitment towards reducing the environmental impact of the shoe manufacturing process by cutting C02 emissions, and towards improving health and safety in the workplace, is a recent one.
