Models decorated with precious stones such as jade, onyx, carnelian and freshwater pearls

The starting point for young designers is always the web, the litmus test for launching a new brand and gauging consumers’ interest. Marianna Mazza did the same: after years studying fashion design at IED and prestigious collaborations with Mario Valentino, Gucci and Balenciaga, she decided to take the big step and set up her own business. The footwear brand that bears her name stands out for decorative use of stones. “The jewelled shoe is by no means new, but I use real stones, such as jade, onyx, carnelian and freshwater pearls, decorations that can be removed from the shoes and replaced with different compositions to change the look of the product”. A familiar concept for Marianna, who comes from the world of jewellery and from the Italian region of Campania, which has a prestigious tradition of goldsmithing. Her passion for shoes did the rest, encouraging the designer to produce here creations in her homeland in Campania, where shoemaking also has deep roots.

Her collection includes seasonless styles available in summer or winter materials, such as denim in different shades of indigo depending on the season. Next winter, flats, mules and sandals will be completed with sheepskin and wool. Always with the added precious touch of stones, each chosen for its specific meaning: jade brings good luck, agate is thought to give the wearer courage, and pearls bring the gift of eternal youth. In a collection reflecting an all-Italian vision of femininity.
