Twelve emerging designers ready to hit the catwalk at Micam
Twelve new designers, who did not feature in the two previous editions, will be present in the fair’s Emerging Designer area – a launchpad that the Micam event dedicates to promising young talent in the footwear sector; in addition to the exhibition area devoted to them in pavilion 4, their work will be spotlighted in a collective fashion show due to take place on the 17th of February.
Here are the stars of this edition: Anabelle Tsitsin with the brand A BY ANABELLE (Israel); Ines Martin-Borregon with the brand ALOHAS SANDALS (Spain); Marouane Haial with the collection CONTRE ALLÉE (Morocco); Marco Contigiani, Leonardo e Aldo D’Autilio with the brand DEPLACÉ (Italy); Rodrigo with DOTZ (Brasil); Diàna Polgàr with DYAN (Hungary); Emanuele Coppari with the collection LES JEUX DU MARQUIS (Italy); Matteo Maiorano with the brand MAIORANO (Italy); Asfales Rowland with the brand PIJAK BUMI (Indonesia); Masamitsu Hata e Pierre Rivière with the brand TIMOTHÉE PARIS (France); Xin-Yu Weng with WXY (Taiwan); Umberto De Marco with the brand YATAY (Italy).
The proposals range from references to pop culture, to research into the most classic forms, from metropolitan atmospheres narrated through electronic music, to the rediscovery of natural materials or scraps for contemporary fashion ideas.
There is no shortage of unusual experiments and original reinterpretations of those models that have made history in footwear.
