At MICAM Milano the collections for Spring-Summer 2023

Next summer is approaching, at least for buyers who can see the collections that will be in stores from February 2023. And MICAM Milano, from the 18th to the 20th of September at Rho Fiera, with its over 1,000 brands, offers a glimpse of future styles that pay heed to quality and sustainability. The latter of these two qualities is essential for shoe producers, so much so that the trade association has created ‘Verified & Certified Steps’, the first specialised sustainability certification brand for the footwear sector that is granted to companies that embark on a sustainable path. But the event is also a concentration of glamour, expressed by many collections and well interpreted by the communication campaign “Micam glass slipper”, a fairy tale starring the well-known glass slipper, now in its third chapter with the episode Glamorous Ball. Also in this case, the shoe that was made exclusively for Micam becomes a symbol of creativity that has the power to make you dream and to promote the Italian excellences of “beauty and quality”. Creativity that is also found in the collective of emerging designers which hosts the new proposals for s/s 2023. The craftsmanship of ‘Made in Italy’ finds, however, its highest expression in the collaboration with Italian Artisan, the B2B platform that connects Italian manufacturing excellence with international brands and retailers.
The future also looks to start-ups with an area, set up in collaboration with Startup Bootcamp and with the support of Ice and Maeci, dedicated to new realities entering the market: BIOCELL, ID FACTORY, OHOSKIN, RICESKIN, SMART FAB, TWINONE and YMPACT.
MicamX is also back, the meeting and conference area focused on innovation, with numerous presentations based on the four strands of the concept: trends & materials, sustainability, art fashion heritage & future, and the future of retail.
