The ‘Mythos Propulsion 280’ is dedicated to the champion Gelindo Bordin

The Olympics are back with new champions, but the athletes who mount the Olympic podium remain unforgettable. Like Gelindo Bordin who, in 1988, won the gold medal at the Seoul Olympics in the marathon. In honour of the champion, Diadora have created the ‘Mythos Propulsion 280’ model, a re-edition of the celebratory shoe of 2008, created on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Italian marathon runner’s victory. The name Mythos is a clear reference to Hellenic culture, chosen to distinguish the shoe amongst the top of the range of the running performance offer. The bay leaf on the tongue, the upper with its metallic colours and details reminiscent of the flames of the Olympic torch and the sparkle of the medals, are a clear homage to sports games. The sneaker, with a rubber sole whose shape recalls the original technology, is now proposed in mesh and synthetic material with a metallic finish and golden reflective details.
