Mofra Shoes launches a line of ‘green’ sneakers for spring/summer 2022
Attention to the environment and shoe-making tradition meld together in the project that Mofra Shoes – an Apulian company created in 1991 by Pasquale and Giuseppe Morgese – have launched for the next summer season. Despite the pandemic, creativity is alive and well and their creative director Biagio Castellano created the ‘PàP’ line, Pret à Porter, with a sustainable perspective. The material used for the sneakers is in fact a mix of corn and PET, a non-toxic, resistant, flexible and 100% recycled compound. The product’s DNA is completed with a cork insole, cotton laces, and a recyclable rubber sole, all rigorously ‘Made in Italy’. The logo recalls the recycling symbol and characterises the four proposed models: a low-top sneaker, a high-top sneaker, and two two-tone versions, in bright shades ranging from mint green to bright yellow, and the unmissable black and white optical versions. The packaging also follows the same concept: it is made of FSC-certified cardboard, that is, coming from an environmentally friendly wood-paper supply chain.
