A project that was created to offer feminine, comfortable, high quality models

Two friends and a project born during the last lockdown; the creation of a women’s footwear brand that meets their needs for both femininity and comfort, requirements that don’t always go hand in hand. Thus, Valentina Melzi and Elena Monti created Bisù Milano (from the French “kiss” Italianised into bisù). After searching amongst Italian companies and artisans, they found a shoe factory in the province of Naples that helped them translate their ideas into products. Feminine models, of high quality, and with attention to detail, but that are above all comfortable. This was how their first collection was born. But where to sell it, as well as in their e-shop? Here is another courageous choice, which took place in March 2021. They opened a shop in Milan, in Via Canonica, in which to showcase their own brand alongside other selected ‘Made in Italy’ brands of shoes and bags such as Ash, Emanuelle Vee, Loriblu, Gianni Chiarini, Coccinelle, See By Chloé, De Siena and others. There is a comprehensive offer, ranging from sneakers, also in vegan versions, to carryover models for both the everyday and for big events, but which has the Bisù brand as its fulcrum, available in sizes from 35 to 41 (including half sizes). Meanwhile, Valentina and Elena have thought up their S/S 2022 collection, focusing on colours including lemon yellow and fuchsia, on jewelled details applied to the toes of the shoes, and on materials ranging from transparent PVC, to nylon, to fine leathers. The focus is always on the practicality of the heels, which can be worn 24 hours a day. And there is a touch of the Sixties in the sandals and many closed- or open-toe ballet flats. The future? “Who knows, the store could become single brand” – they say – “where Bisù will be the star of the show”.
