An illustrated poster brings together 50 pairs worn by the Sex and the City star
She has influenced at least a couple of generations of women, who have been inspired by her (and many still are) in their choice of girlfriends, relationships with the opposite sex, style and their shopping habits and, most of all, their shoes.
She would have at least 100 pairs, which calculated at an average of 400$ each, come to around 40,000$ spent on shoes. And not just any old shoes: Manolo Blahnik, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Louboutin, Valentino, René Caovilla…
This estimate was made by her friend Miranda in an episode of the fourth season, yet there turned out to be six seasons as well as two films!
Obviously, we are talking about Sex and the City and its star Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker (who also stayed in character in real life, in turn launching a brand of made in Italy shoes, which has inspired the American Pop Chart Lab design studio, specialised in infographics and illustrated posters, to create a print entitled The many shoes of Carrie Bradshaw’s closet.
50 of the most iconic shoes take centre stage on the poster.
The episode or film is also indicated for each of them, as well as the brand, which is easily visible or, for the most observant, recognisable.
