1 Booties

While the Chelsea or Beatle boot is by far the most popular, both in the classic version with leather soles and heels and the more casual rubber-soled version, there are also a number of other models around – with laces or zips – that are equally cool. The typically macho-looking Texan boot is also still trendy.

2 Lace-up

Lace-ups, with derby and Oxford models in pole position, are an essential part of a well-dressed man’s wardrobe and particularly appreciated by shoes connoisseurs. Personal choice depends on the type of hides used and on finishes that make them look handmade.

3 Hiking

The urban version of the hiking boot is still very much with us and, though no longer a novelty, looks like remaining popular. Distinctive features are their metal eyelets and sturdy-looking but at the same time lightweight soles.

4 Sneakers

After the aggressive models of recent seasons, in the wake of the Balenciaga effect today’s sneakers reinterpret the must-haves of past decades, often paying tribute to great sports champions. The sock-sneaker is also still on the crest of the wave.

5 Slip-ons

In addition to the more sophisticated versions, slip-ons for the daytime now also have a sportier look and rubber soles. So men can choose between models in horsehair, logo fabrics or technical materials.
