Which women’s styles stole the limelight this summer and will be back for the winter, too?

Here are five themes that transcend the seasons.

Spalkling

The watchword for clothes is sparkle, and footwear follows the same rules. Swarovski crystals, stones, crystals and paillettes adorn many day and evening styles, creating rainbow and iridescent effects.

Animal prints

Accessories feature all the coats of wild animals, from the leopard and the zebra to the crocodile and the snake. Animal prints have become timeless, often appearing on pony leathers in footwear, but also on fabrics and laminated leathers.

Flats

Slip-ons are a must for summer (especially designer ones) and winter alike. They’re a style you can wear from one season to the next, available in all materials possible: from fur and velvet to fabric and vinyl. An alternative to sneakers during the day and super glam in the evening.

Sock-shoes

Sock-sneakers are all the rage, but the “sock upper” has also made its way into ankle boots and ballet flats. You’re guaranteed a second-skin effect and unquestionable comfort, too.

Western

The cowboy boot and its brothers, including rock and folk styles, in ultra-feminine versions, too. There’s something for everyone: embroidered, with glitter details and studs, true to or freely inspired by the original Western styles.
