An array of themes to choose from to face this autumn and winter in comfort and style. We have identified three out of those strutted on the f/w 20/21 catwalks: footwear featuring revisited materials, lines or shapes, each with a strong characterisation and a pinch of personality to stir up outfits that are increasingly gravitating around basic and reassuring garments.
Materials whose surface evokes lambskin. They keep feet warm and create a cocoon effect: ankle boots, ballet flats and sneakers are full-on furry and have gone for bright colours to contrast single-colour outfits.
Commonly referred to as “Beatles” because they were worn by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the early Sixties, resulting in a surge in popularity. These models have since become a wardrobe evergreen. The latest version for the new season features a thick rubber sole that is even curved.
Kiss goodbye to lightweight and sheer models: the time has come for loafers with chunky soles and heels, made of rubber or leather. Shoes with a solid look, even though soles are often ultralight, especially those with a lug effect.
