It’s a perfect combination between fashion and design, showcasing the offer made available by both established companies and new research brands, in the clothing/accessories sector as well as in the furnishing accessories, objects, homeware and toys sector. This whole world is to be found at ‘Pitti Immagine Bimbo’ from the 17th to the 19th of January in Florence, an event that is increasingly focused on lifestyle.
Catwalks (Stefania, Miss DM, Children’s Fashion from Spain, Monnalisa) and events – both inside and outside the confines of the show – bring also this edition to life. Among the anniversaries to celebrate, the most famous of fashion dolls, Barbie, turns 60 in 2019 and in the exhibition spaces of Polveriera, a celebratory show will be staged alongside a special capsule collection in partnership with Patrizia Pepe. For her 45th birthday, Hello Kitty is the star of ‘Fashion Comics’, a project by Alessandro Enriquez realised in collaboration with Sanrio. For the occasion, the brands Monnalisa, Melissa and MC2 Saint Barth interpret Hello Kitty through capsule collections made especially for little girls.
A novelty comes in the form of the “KidsLab” project, promoted by Pitti Bimbo together with the museums of Florence. It is a programme comprised of family-friendly laboratories and workshops which, from the 17th to the 20th of January, involve Palazzo Strozzi, the Marino Marini Museum, the Science and Technology Foundation, the Museum of the Innocents, the Uffizi Galleries and the Museum of Fashion and Costume organising free entertainment events for children.
